SpinCount specializes in promoting bands, tours, CDs, singles, videos and shows. We represent many well-known artists from Nova Scotia and the East Coast such as David Myles, Joel Plaskett, Gordie Sampson and Slowcoaster. We sponsor numerous music festivals throughout our region, including East Coast Music Association, Nova Scotia Music Week, MusicMusiqueNB, and Music PEI. SpinCount has participated in music industry panels at conferences throughout the area, including Music PEI, MusicMusiqueNB, Harmony Bazaar (Lockeport) Deep Roots Emerging Artists (Wolfville), Halifax Pop Explosion, and SeaFest (Brooklyn Queens Co.)
Earlier this year, SpinCount was honoured to be awarded two ECMA’s at East Coast Music Week in Charlottetown, for Independent Company of the Year, and for Industry Professional of the Year, awarded to founder Kimberly Sinclair.
Artists we work with are well represented at regional and national awards presentations, including the most recent 2011 ECMAs where our clients were awarded five ECMAs and were nominated for a total of 29 ECMA. Winners were: Chris Colepaugh & the Cosmic Crew, winner of Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year, and Rock Recording of the Year; Slowcoaster for Alternative Rock Recording of the Year; and David Myles, winner of Folk Recording of the Year, and Single of the Year for “Need A Break” (Produced by Joel Plaskett.)
We have achieved these milestones in three years of operation through hard work and integrity. We believe passionately in what we do and we are helping our artists every day to make more money and take their music to larger audiences. They have rewarded us with loyalty, repeat business and referrals.
