SpinCount @ Music PEI Week January 2011!

Music PEI Week & Tenth Annual Awards Gala

During the week of January 14th to 22nd, 2010, Music PEI will host its Music Week & 10th Annual Awards Gala. This year Music PEI is pleased to announce that K-Rock 105.5 and Ocean 100 have taken on the role of title sponsor for the gala event. Building upon last year’s success, Music Week will be replete with showcases, workshops and an art show, culminating with the Awards Gala on Saturday, January 22nd.

Art for Music
Art for Music kicks off Music Week beginning on January 14th at The Guild and running through January 23rd. It will feature the 2011 Music PEI Visual Artist of the Year Award nominees and other works by local music photographers, artists and graphic designers. The presentation of Visual Artist of the Year Award took place on January 14th and was awarded to Mike MacDougall.

Monday, January 17th
Hunter's Ale House. Doors open at 8:00 pm
Featuring PEI Music Trivia, and a performance by Tim Chaisson and Tian Wigmore, followed by Open Mic.

Wednesday, January 19th

Accomplished songwriter McTaggart has had hits recorded by international stars Wynonna Judd, Tina Arena, Terri Clark, Amanda Marshall, Kellie Coffey, Mila Mason and Anne Murray. He has won numerous SOCAN and ASCAP Awards and 2 Juno Award nominations for Songwriter of the Year. Dean will be telling his story and critiquing your songs.
